The #1 Secret to Getting More Time

One of my clients is approaching 50. He’s been putting off many of life’s pleasures for his career in medicine. But after getting Covid and experiencing what he now refers to as “the dark night of the soul,” he’s realizing that time does not wait. In fact it goes faster and faster.

In coaching, he’s now pursuing self-care as though his life depends on it — because it does. Suddenly, the time he’s shoving things around to make time for the things he never had time for. “If I can’t learn to like myself, why should anyone else?” he recently asked.

Time, it seems, is opening up, because his priorities are shifting.

What if you had more time to...

  1. Pursue activities you love.

  2. Engage in more fulfilling relationships.

  3. Prioritize your self-care.

What if time was not linear -- and actually more vertical?

Here's what I mean: It’s not about finding more hours in the day, it’s about maximizing the hours in your day to your maximum satisfaction.

That time you yearn for is already here. Now.

The key is how to call it forth.

If you knew you only had a short amount of time left on earth -- and you still healthy and able to access all of life's offerings -- what would you do?

You'd do it now.

Maybe you'd keep working, but only doing the part of your work that filled your cup.

Perhaps you'd only pursue self-care that actually also gives you pleasure. No more grueling workouts -- unless, of course, those give you pleasure.

You might sit down with the people already in your life; and really listen to and see them exactly as they are. And, in that clear sightedness, you'd  love every cell of them.

Or, you'd go out and put all your cards on the table and find true connection with a new group or individuals.

I can't fix your work.

I can't change your schedule.

I can't make you happy.

But I can help you see the world from a completely different perspective. A viewpoint that opens up time, deepens love, pleasure and appreciation.

This is the experience of happiness.

You don’t have to wait to experience it.

Abundance is a way of seeing.
