How To Be Happy: Manifest Your Dream

It's safe to assume that everyone wants to be happy. Many of us make the mistake of thinking we will be happy when we have other things: money, career, relationship. In fact, it is the other way around. Happiness comes when you are doing or pursuing your dream. The definition happiness can be elusive, but you know when you ARE happy. It's less a moment-to-moment thing, less an emotion and more a state of being.

As a do-er and a hyper-achiever myself, happiness came on quietly, a steady hum beneath the surface. It got louder as I clarified my dream and set out to make it happen. Happiness is not something you have. It's something you ARE. It happens while you're manifesting your life.

How to manifest, part I:

• Get yourself a dream. A big, juicy dream.

• Spend time with it every day.

• Fill in the details of the dream on a regular basis

• Visit the dream; walk, swim or fly around in it

• Write about it. Paint about it. Dance and meditate about it.

• Protect your dream. Share it only with those who will encourage you. It's a baby. Take good care of it.

• Allow it to change and grow. This is different than giving up on it. Give it space to breathe. It's a living thing.

•Love your dream. It's your primary relationship.

Happy manifesting. It's never too late to manifest the life you want. Here's to happiness!
