What if the parts of your story you’ve hidden…

are the very ones that hold your power?

“I had a child at 19, which blew up my whole world and I was disowned by my family.
…There's nothing like living in your car.… I came home, there's a padlock on the door and my stuff's on the front lawn in plastic bags, and there's not much I could do about it.”

Adam Mariano, President and General Manager, Healthcare Division, LexisNexis Risk Solutions

This isn’t just a story — it’s a strategy

Adam’s story is one of resilience, hardship, and ultimately, transformation — a journey that reflects the lived experiences of so many who have faced homelessness, family estrangement, and the struggle to rebuild from nothing.
Today, he uses that story to empower his leadership — not to hide what he’s been through, but to lead with authenticity, empathy, and truth.

Maybe your story doesn’t feel dramatic.
But you’ve still kept parts of it locked away — the ones that shaped you, challenged you, maybe even changed your entire trajectory.

This is for the quiet survivors, too

The Way Home Mini-series is for you — for anyone who’s lived through the kind of survival, the kind that doesn’t always make headlines, but still defines how you move through the world.
It’s also for those who want to understand, support, and stand beside people walking that road now.

Who This Is For

This journey is for anyone carrying a story they’ve tucked away — quietly shaping their life from the background.

You might be:

  • Holding the weight of an untold story: an assault, a divorce, a fractured family relationship, a betrayal, a job that unraveled, becoming a parent before you were ready, giving a child up for adoption, a chapter of survival you’ve never named

  • Living with the quiet fear: “If they really knew this about me…”

  • Carrying youthful choices — even felonies — that changed your life but don’t define your worth

  • Wearing a mask in your work or leadership — performing strength when what you long for is truth

  • Feeling exhausted by the roles you’ve outgrown but unsure how to release them

  • In a transition, loss, or awakening — asking bigger questions about who you are now

You don’t have to share everything with everyone.
But you do deserve a space to tell yourself the truth — and to meet your story with clarity, compassion, and courage.

This is that space.

You’ve lived it. But have you made sense of it?

You’ve already survived the hard part.
Now it’s time to reclaim what it left behind:

  • The story you’re still carrying

  • The version of yourself you’ve been performing

  • The belief that if people really knew you, something would fall apart

When you integrate your story into how you show up every day,
you stop leading from fragments and start acting from your whole self.
Not just the polished parts — all of you.

This isn’t about oversharing.

It’s about getting honest.

You don’t have to tell the world.
But you do have to tell yourself.

Because when you own your story, you own your life.
Authorship is power.

Why This Matters

Too many of us are editing our lives to stay safe.
But what if the parts you’ve silenced are the key to your freedom?

When you reclaim your story, you shift the way you see yourself — and how you show up in the world.
You begin to live, lead, and love from wholeness.

This series helps you:

  • Reclaim the stories you’ve buried — and meet them with clarity

  • Identify the perspective/narrator of various chapters of your story

  • Try on different perspectives; this workshop is a dressing room for narrative perspectives

  • Regulate, reframe, and realign through storytelling — and retelling.

  • Integrate all parts of you — the shadows and the light — to live, lead, and love from wholeness

  • Own your past without being defined by it

  • Walk forward as the author of your life — not just the protagonist of someone else’s story

What the Journey Looks Like

  • 12 live sessions on Zoom
    (Wednesdays, 8–9:30am CT / 3pm CET)

  • Starts September 2025

  • Weekly guided teaching, writing, breakout rooms, and story reflection

  • You’ll bring one story per week — and we’ll explore it together

  • Includes a downloadable fillable journal to hold your work

  • You don’t need to be a writer — just willing to be honest, curious, and real

What You’ll Walk Away With

  • A deeper ability to lead your life — and your work — from alignment, not performance

  • The tools to call on all parts of yourself, even the ones you’ve hidden or forgotten

  • A clearer understanding of what’s been holding you back — and how to move forward with integrity

  • A personalized way to care for yourself that’s rooted in who you truly are, not who you think you should be

  • The ability to spot outdated patterns and rewrite them before they shape your next chapter

  • A renewed relationship with your own voice — steady, grounded, and self-led

  • Optional next step: credit toward the full in-person workshop, if you decide to go deeper
